Hello, we are Eugene and Mary and together with our staff we would like to welcome you to the Market Tavern, the pub we run in the historic town of Knaresborough in glorious North Yorkshire.

Knaresborough is an interesting and surprisingly lively town providing an excellent base from which to visit and explore the many attractions in the local area. We are within easy reach of the cities of York and Leeds and the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors are less than 30 minutes drive. For the race-goer we have three excellent Horse racing tracks at York Wetherby and Ripon.

If you wish to stay to fully explore Knaresborough then you will find the Market Tavern a comfortable and affordable option.  All our rooms are tastefully decorated, en-suite, with tea and coffee facilities, free-view TV and hairdryers. Full English breakfast is available and continental breakfast is available on request.

We serve food every lunch time 12.00 until 14.45 and we are happy to provide food in the evening for residents if requested.

We have parking for two cars with an adjacent public car park to the rear of the pub that is free from 6pm until 8am.

We are a dog friendly pub.
